Jenny Turpish's 20 Questions to a Better Personality renders the following verdict:

You are a WEDF—Wacky Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you a menace to society, depending on how you channel your energies. You chew your fingers and have an addictive personality. Properly guided, you can be enormously productive—otherwise you run amok, stir up trouble, and generally have a hell of a good time.

To your friends, you are a source of relentless entertainment. You often get into trouble, but you almost always find a way out. You are strangely popular and feed off others' energy. You live hard, seize the day, and although your more sober friends would like to see you settled down, you generally have fewer regrets and better memories than they do. Your tenet is that, at the end of the day, one regrets only what one didn't try. You are right.

You could benefit from outside help in balancing your highs and lows. Or perhaps cutting back on the caffeine.

Well, i've cut back on the caffeine, and [livejournal.com profile] 2wanda's the best outside help a passionate maniac could have. The only thing i'd object to is the "addictive personality" bit; it's definitely not accurate. I can be nerdily obsessive, but that's not the same thing.

I like this quiz. I hate this sort of meme in general, but this one's worth prodding at. It tells me, "In any event, you have buckets of charisma and a natural skill for making people open up. Your greatest asset is an ability to make progress while keeping the peace." which I think is pretty much accurate. Apparently I am a WECL--Wacky Emotional Constructive Leader.

Hm. I'm a Wacky Rational Constructive Follower. "You were not particularly interested in the results of this test, and probably took it only as a result of someone else asking you to."

The only part I heartily object to is the "You entire approach to life is enviable. You will raise good kids," and not just because of the typo.

As your test-appointed leader I demand that you follow me. We will do wacky things.

Sounds like a fun tool to try. After your response to my inquiry about Patti I took the liberty to read your journal ;') I also saw that your wife just graduated from De Anza, how kewl is that. I went back to school recently (2001) and got my BS in Info Sys Mgmnt and found the process very rewarding!

Proof that this test is off its rocker

This thing is telling me I would make a good politician. Are you kidding me? I speak my mind too much to be a politician.

Politicians speak their mind all the time! It's just that the ones we have don't have much in there.
