Where the hell did "like white on rice" come from, anyway? Why not "like brown on chocolate", or "like black on coffee", or "like red on blood", or "like orange on..." Well, whatever.

I think I remember the same people who used that phrase also using "like [black or brown] on beans" and "like ugly on an ape." Two or more of these were often used together for effect.
