a hole is not always an absence
Dec. 16th, 2008 08:24 pmI found this among my saved drafts, dated 2007/08/03. I don't recall if i was going somewhere with this, or if it was perhaps going to be a part of something else. Hell, i'm not even sure if i wrote it or if i found it somewhere. Anyway, i'll just post it as is.
I have a piercing below my waste.
You have a hole under your desert.
It once held a jewel that focused and collected
the moonlight which sifted through the sand.
The jewel was stolen and swallowed by the
Kodiak, who thought he'd found a well of milk.
The legend says that after five hundred years,
the jewel will find its way into the world again,
and rise into the sky, a second moon for a new world.
And we will call it Kodiak.
