roneFubar suffered its first loss against Arians, 9-4 (and, no, our opponents weren't skinheads; they were Middle Eastern). We played... weird. Not a lot of cohesion, not getting back on defense, and i was very tentative with my bad foot in the first half. As the game went on, the adrenaline kicked in and the foot felt better. We also had a few more bad bounces than good bounces, but they weren't the difference in the game.
After the game, we stuck around for beer and everyone dissected the game... it was good to hear everyone's thoughts. The captain also gave me some constructive criticism (which still stung, `cause, hey, nobody wants to be told they suck); he also took a shot in the nuts in the first half. Anyway... i'm looking forward to getting back to my regular aggressiveness (and i have new gloves! big ol' goalie mitts, as opposed to my old dinky gloves... wonder if these would've saved my finger a couple of months ago. oh well.), `cause i didn't really enjoy playing at 80%.
