We tied Verity One yesterday, 5-5, in a game where we hit the posts (technically, the edges of the goal, since it's actually a hole in a wall) at least 5 times, and one goal was scored off my leg and another was a soft goal where i was completely screened by one of my teammates. I also busted my lip after running out to challenge a breakaway; i thought i was gonna get there, but the attacker was running a lot faster than i thought he was. His shoulder nailed me in the mouth and we both went flying. My head rung a bit when i got up but, other than slight damage to the inside of my lip (no bleeding), i'm OK. Now i have a fat lip. I also have a fat ringfinger from stopping a shot, which caused a bit of comedy this morning when i tried to get into Equinix and failed, because the handscanner didn't recognize my hand with a new, fat finger. Our record sits at 2-4-1 now, and we've one more game to play, at 23:25 on a Thursday. Oh boy.
