If you haven't seen any previews for this movie, don't see them.  If you have, get good and drunk and hope for lacunae.  I'm usually spoiler-proof, but the nature of this movie is such that every little bit of information builds on many others; without any forewarning, you will enjoy this fabulous and dark farce that much more.  It starts a little slow, so be patient.  Those of you who can't stand ridiculous and possibly contrived characters might find yourselves grinding your teeth a bit, but, for gods' sake, people, it's a farce.

I will reveal one thing: it features David Rasche, more famously known as Sledge Hammer!.

You should watch the two video clips on IMDb. Ahh, they just couldn't make a show like that these days...

Oh for fuck's sake, now I have to see this movie. I tend to watch movies that are 100% Brad Pitt free, but David Rasche overrides that rule.

Rasche is one of the actors that Famous Actor Man (the guy I know from Usenet) complains about. Famous Actor Man will tell anecdotes about how Rasche is a jerk just to irritate me. Er, actually, I think he stopped when I finally pinned FAM down on just when all these anecdotes happened. (Answer: 1972.)

I avoided Brad Pitt, too, until Ocean's 11 came out. And he was fine.

He is a total goofball in this one. No complaints. Just solid.

Do you have alternate identities that can talk about other things besides George Bush?

I dunno, i haven't seen it. I keep wondering if the book will be more annoying than the movie.

Brad Pitt can be so funny, as long as he's not taking himself too seriously... in any case, it's about time someone made good use of his habitually spastic arm movements
