I love my perfume (Amarige de Givenchy) and wear it every single day. I smell good in the first place, and my perfume makes me smell even better. It is uncannily well-suited to me.

I rarely wear cologne, but I do keep Chrome by Azzaro on hand for special events. Perhaps it's more useful for an unattached man.
