I'm afraid that this is a common problem. Though you may not know it, it runs even in your family. I used to try regular interventions with palecur from medical probes to thumbscrews to the good old fashioned whine. Eventually, he learned. Now I have to deal with him putting the new roll on backwards. This is worse. At least changing the used roll for a new roll gave me a sense of accomplishment, of creation even. Removing a new roll only to turn it around and put it back is like fixing the same bicycle tire over and over: easily enough done, but hardly enthralling.
