Actually, there's whole swaths of this story that could use that very treatment, and i've recognized that. At this point, i'm feeling a bit resentful that i'm still writing this, when i expected to be done, i dunno, 15 or so parts ago. So that probably shows.
This whole "gryphon can't talk" thing probably should have been resolved by now, too. But that's just the laziness talking.
