How often do you see, in a movie's opening credits, someone billed as, "And Introducing [Name] as [Character]", and never, ever hear from that actor again? The only one i can think of that broke through that curse was Robin Wright in The Princess Bride.

Eliza Dushku, Buffy's "Faith"... also seen in JSBSB, Bring It On, True Lies, and Angel. "And introducing" was in her "That Night" film appearance. There ya go.

Oh, and Edward Furlong got his kudos in Terminator 2, and went on to be in films like Pecker and American History X and Detroit Rock City.

Though Robin Wright had to marry Sean Penn and do some time in indie films ("oh, i prefer indie films to hillywood mainstream because it's so much nicer to be doing ahhhhrt than to draw an absurdly huge paycheck") before she made it. Even now, she's still known primarily for The Princess Bride and spends the rest of her time as the "Oh, I know who that is, her name is on the tip of my tongue" girl.

I'd bet a buck that she's better known for Forrest Gump, and she wasn't even married to Sean Penn at the time.

I had no idea that she was in Forrest Gump.

Nonetheless, while she wasn't married to him yet, she was pregnant with his daughter in 1991. Forrest Gump was in 1994.

Forrest Gump will forever be known to me as the movie where Hanks played the daughter of that woman who played his love interest in an earlier film. Implied incest! Whoa!

Yeah, I noticed they did that for the actress who played the daughter in Lethal Weapon, the one who gets kidnapped. I checked on IMDB to see if she was ever in any thing after that.
