Instead, i opened the cabernet franc icewine that matrushkaka gave us and shared it with 2wanda and sandollar17.  Delicious, apricotty goodness.  The dog was spooked by a small amount of fireworks that were set off outside our house, but they ended quickly and he's fine now.

I expect we'll spend tomorrow cleaning up the house.  Maybe i'll find some time to write... assuming i don't end up finishing that Civ4 game i have going.

Okay, those newer bottle rockets that sound like angry buzzing aliens...
What are they called? Of my fur trio, one spent the night hunkered down trying to make himself small ( not an easy task when you weigh 110 lbs) and the other two spent the evening alternately barking, growling and doing house patrol every time one went off making that weird noise.
