Was somewhat surprized to see it's now the default mouse with a new G5 desktop box. (We got another at work yesterday.)
While I do like the idea of the trackball bit, it does need to be made such that it can be the pointing device, as mice are whole-hand-movevent devices, and not suitable for those of us who direct things by fingertip control. (i.e. I can't use a mouse, I need a trackball or a pointy-stick.)
Also, the side buttons - the hinge things - can have an action mapped to them; and by default it's 'expose' (hmm, not using the mac to write this, and I apparently don't have the alt-gr mapped properly, can't do accents or umlauts) view-desktop. Which, since that's where I put my fingers to move the mouse, becomes ultra-annoying, and utterly useless. So while I do like the idea behind it, can't use the sucker. But hey, it's a better mouse than the standard rat thing.
