It seems that my three most popular quotes are:

• Sanity is like money; you should just have enough to get by.  Any more and you turn into a freak.
• Pretty, smart, sane: Pick two.
• If you don't use emacs, you're a pathetic, mewling, masochistic weakling and i can't be bothered to convert you.

The first one i really like, the second is a cheap hack, and the third is so over the top, but that's probably why people like it.

until recently, my most-quoted phrase on the web was the puerile:

i'm apparently in the standard Linux quote library with some song lyrics that i don't find especially distinguished or quotable, as well.

my favorite, on the other hand:

i don't remember saying it, but i was definitely onto something.
