Centavo crushed FWG 14-4 last night.  The game was tight early but we pulled away late in the first half.  Not much more to say... we played quite well, subbed often, and wore them down physically.  Defense was played vigorously by both teams.  Can't wait for next week's game.

Bonus: [livejournal.com profile] ksleet shares little known facts about Jupiter.

ESPN.com printed an excerpt from "The Unofficial Guide to Basketball's Nastiest and Most Unusual Records".  I found the Bill Russell vomit story especially, um, wacky.

Also, for [livejournal.com profile] plorkwort and the rest of my Whovian friends:

three regular daleks and one espresso-maker dalek

Patrick Hruby at ESPN.com's Page 2 writes:

Look, I don't mean to impugn the integrity of a hygiene report commissioned by something called the Soap and Detergent Association. Far from it.

Well-intentioned or otherwise, the hygiene report smacks of misguided, namby-pamby, mommy-knows-best paternalism. At best.

At worst, it reflects a clear and obvious hatred of freedom. And probably puppies, too.
Hruby has, over the last several months, become my favorite funny guy on ESPN.com, surpassing Bill "Sports Guy" Simmons, who after getting his dumb-yayas out as a writer for Jimmy Kimmel's show, is now falling back into old bad habits and leaning too heavily on the more horrible features of pop culture, such as pro wrestling and reality TV.
