Robert Jensen writes a great article in which he criticizes Michael Moore for, essentially, being a lazy blowhard who should have used his considerable talent and assets to make a more effective movie that takes American imperialism to task, which is pretty much what i've been saying for the last few weeks, except Jensen does fifty times a better job.

Jul. 8th, 2004 11:47 pmOn Monday, the Blasters beat Baunfire 10-3. I actually had a shutout into the second half... we were doing so well that i took more chances out in the field, with mixed results. It was good to win, even though our opponents weren't very good. We have another game tomorrow.
Last night, i played my first game with Fubar against Ball Busters. This was in Men's Division 9 (there are 15), and the level of play was pretty high. My teammates warmed me up with tough shots, and i'm glad they did, because our opponents opened the scoring with a shot straight into one of the upper corners. Later they also got a shot that somehow bounced off the wall near the upper right corner, then somehow sliced into the goal — weirdest damn goal i've ever let in. We went into the break 4-4, and finished strong, winning 10-6. That was a really exciting and invigorating game due to the high level of play from both teams, so i'm really looking forward to next week's match. Er, matches, as we're playing Wednesday and Friday.
So that makes 3 games this week. Wow. I was feeling really beat up last night (it was one of the infamous 23:25 games, plus i spent time at work on Tuesday and Wednesday lugging heavy equipment around), but Kim gave me the best backrub of my life and i felt fantastic today. Well, except for Ecuador getting their asses kicked by Argentina 6-1 in the Copa América... ugh.
