soccer report
Apr. 20th, 2004 11:59 pmAfter a session off, the rust and poorer conditioning showed on everyone, as we lost 12-5 to MTI. The good news is we got Kiran back after he had to leave a few sessions ago with a dislocated arm. The bad news is we lost Mileend to what could be a ligament tear. As for me, i allowed a goal on their first shot through the 5-hole... just trickled under my fingertips and i didn't get down quickly enough. Tweaked my damn right ringfinger, too. I did my Sergio Goycoechea impression by playing well under the goal (except for that first goal), but turning every tour outside the goal into an adventure. In the first half, i missed the ball almost every time i tried to kick it. It was pretty embarrassing. Still, it feels good to be playing again. I'll be sure to practice this week with The Boy to make sure he and i are up to speed for the next game.
