Blasters lost to Valley United, 5-2. The long layoff showed, although at first it was just a weird feeling; later, as i got tired, it showed up in my decisions, although they were still greatly affected by the weirdness. I landed hard on my left hip after a save, and i spent yesterday annoyed by the pain. Better today, though. Still, the game was... weird. A lot of effort, but some standing around by my defenders. Our attackers spent their best shots during warmups. The first goal we gave up came quickly after i blinked at about the same time i got screened by a defender as the ball was kicked back to someone who unleashed a soft shot that rolled in anyway. And this one guy managed to run past and around my defenders, and then fake me out two or three times and score. Sure, he was good, but i was in that tired, weird headspace. Weird. Feh.
