We lost to San Jose Scots, 9-8.  They scored the winning goal immediately after our tying goal, right from midfield.  Nobody covered and i was screened.  So... hey, we almost tied!  The bad news, though, is that the Scots played a man down the whole game.  So... we suck.  And i hurt my left hand saving a shot — it bent back my index and middle fingers.

I got compliments on my goaltending from my teammates and my opponents (we hung out after the game with some beer and watching the Pistons put a Category 5 whuppin' on the Lakers), but i was imprecise in my passes often and i made one crass mistake that let in a goal when i went to chase a dumped ball and completely missed it.  We'll play the Scots again next week... maybe this time they'll have more people, so it can be a, um, fairer game.
