zombie anti-spammers? fabulous

Dear [livejournal.com profile] dr_strych9: please supplement my arguments against real-time blackhole lists with this delightful story about a blackhole list that came back to life fifteen months after its death and caused all its subscribers' incoming mail to bounce.

don't eat your vegetables - wear them!

Last Saturday, Kim and i went with [livejournal.com profile] allannah and her family to see Cirque du Soleil's Kooza (for some reason, our show didn't feature the unicyclist or the acrobats on stilts), which was a marvelous show, more circus-y and less plot-driven than other CdS shows, and absolutely fun, despite being also more clown-heavy than other shows.  After the show, we had a fabulous and decadent meal at The Melting Pot.  After the meal, there was postcard spam on the car, advertising some to-do; nothing noteworthy, except for the "Dress Code Lavish:"

NO Sports Wear, Jeans or Tennis Shoes. You Must Have on a Collard Shirt!

Brassica fashion is edgy, man.

For the un-nerdly among you: that means that, so far today, my mail server has bounced 5726 messages intended for unknown recipients.

Also: EarthLink is selling spam (via Lee Ann Goldstein in the Other Place).

spammers for governor

Brooke Adams, a candidate for governor, spammed [livejournal.com profile] cdy. He complained bitterly to her and calls her a spammer. Her response is so outlandish and hilarious that i'd rather not go into details or highlights... just see for yourself.
