maybe it's the image of a giant robotic meg white spastically banging away

I couldn't say why, but i find it a little disturbing to watch a soccer match and listen to the fans chanting to the tune of The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army".

Man... do not get me started about how brutally and senselessly overrated the White Stripes are. I'm trying to work here!

If they were all that, wouldn't they have been featured on "Rock Band"?

The Raconteurs/Saboteurs, however, are pure genius.

So you say, pal.

SSC: I like White Stripes because of Meg White's drumming. It's, like, the ultimate emo/punk: "My life sucks so much I can't even get a real drummer, I have to use my ex-wife. No, not use like that, man, just stfu." Call it a guilty pleasure.

(Actually, if you like folk rock, their brutal cover of "Black Jack Davey" is pretty good.)

I like them for the same reason, or at least something very similar. Thanks for articulating it.
