It's "habanero". NOT FUCKING "habañero". There is NO eñe in "La Habana", AKA "Havana". Habanero == from Havana.

Thanks. I've been getting that wrong, and had heard it both ways, and wasn't sure.

I suspect the reason why people pronounce it "habañero" is because then it sounds more like "jalapeño."
