soccer day
Went to Spartan Stadium yesterday to catch my first CyberRays (dumb name PLUS StudlyCaps == mondo dork points) game yesterday with Renée. It was the Rays' last game of the season, and they'll miss the playoffs. They lost 1-0 to the Boston Breakers, who scored on a penalty kick caused by a Thori Bryan trip (who, except for that, played a very good game). Sissi is one of the Rays' hyped Brazilian players, but her play was nothing special; in fact, i saw her make simple mistakes and play with little fire.
I've been meaning to go to a Rays game since, well, the WUSA started. So i'm glad i finally went, even if it was mostly because the league is financially strapped and next season might not happen, so i figured it was my last chance. I should take my momentum and go check out the Earthquakes now... hey, they're in first place!
