This is their debut album, and i like it a bit less than their followup, Together We're Heavy; the songs aren't as well developed, and some of them sound like they could have been demos for songs on TWH. The sound is very similar; the music is mostly cheerful, joyous, and uplifting "choral symphonic pop/rock". The final track, "Section 10 (A Long Day)" is 36'30" and consists of monotonic droning by frontman Tim DeLaughter. Dumb.
I bought the CD used at Rasputin Music and when i opened the case, there was a four-track promo disc under the album's disc that contained remixes of two of the album tracks and two live tracks. It was a nice surprise; i'm not usually a fan of remixes, but these were OK.
