- Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?
Instead of giving a bunch of weasel reasons, i'll just stick this one and say my favorite musician is Trey Gunn. My favorite singer is Maynard James Keenan. - What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
Boy, just one? Oh, i'll just say Dashboard Confessional. - If your favorite singer wasn't in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
Gunn, yes. I've talked to him and he's a swell guy and he has a lot of good ideas in his head. MJK, i dunno. He seems to be a very inventive person. I would love to get to know him better. - Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
Tough to say... but i'll pick the Tool/King Crimson show in Berkeley. Goddamn, that was good. - What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?
Oh, for the love of Pete... Downloading free music online, OK. Downloading music that was ripped from a CD that was clearly labeled "redistribution is prohibited", not OK.
I feel that the RIAA is within its rights to prevent the redistribution of music. I am convinced that its methods are wholly unsound and that they should be reëxamining their strategy. They are run by a bunch of contemptible greedheads and it will all end in tears.
