attention massachusetts peeps

I have read some stuff out there about how Romney's healthcare plan in Massachusetts could be a viable alternative to Obama's plan, because it doesn't have the dreaded Maoist public option, and yet everyone is covered anyway.  What is your view of it, as someone living with it?

Pff, i'm not interested in what the LIBRUL media has to say about it. I'm going straight to the people!!!

(Thanks.)

That was written by a doctor in western Mass.

Which makes her a LIBRUL, if not media.

A liberal in western Massachusetts is as common as a Mormon at a bar: You can find one, but you don't expect it to be easy.

I went to college in Great Barrington, and there were plenty of us around.

My kneejerk reaction is that if Romney had anything to do with it it's probably not very good, but that's just because I think he's a carpetbagging sack of shit.

I may be opinionated.

At one point I brought up the MA situation elsewhere, and [livejournal.com profile] allbery pointed the assembled to a document describing how thoroughly fucked it is. And now I have lost the URL.

Edit: But I think it is this item; note the word “Failed” in the title (http://www.pnhp.org/mass_report/mass_report_Final.pdf).

I have health insurance through my employers and that hasn't changed, so I've personally seen no effects. But I offer these two stories from self-employed people:
1. Is happy to have health insurance again and she was able to find affordable plans that were a decent fit for her needs.
2. Has declared religious objection and is hoping he never needs anything.
