short shameful confession

A few years ago, i realized that i was sick of listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall, or as i now like to call it, Roger Waters's The Pros and Cons of Rock Stardom.

Yeah, I think it was about the second or third time I listened to it all the way through that I realized that while The Wall had a few high points, it really could have been cut down to fit on a single album, and we wouldn't have really missed much of anything.

I'm still very proud of my review of Amused to Death:

"something there is that doesn't love a Wall. it's a shame that that thing isn't Roger Waters."

'The Wall' is the first song that I remember hating.

It became all the rage and you would see the horrible clip continuously, like every week at least! (this was with only 5 TV channels, transmitting only in the evening and 1 or 2 'music' programs) I hated the sound, I hated the music clip, I hated the choir.

Actually I grew up with a dislike for the 1970's...

That's funny.

It was the one Pink Floyd album that really grabbed me. Before that, I thought they were OK but they didn't sustain my attention. (And no, it's nothing to do with the movie--I didn't get around to seeing that for almost 15 years.)

Why do YOU hate the Guacamole of FeeDome repressed by socialism!

I think you are missing the totally critical factor, namely that Pink Floyd was leading the charge against the HORROR of socialism, which if they had not been able to defeat, would have raced into the Abomonation of ObamaCare and then brutally murdered Stephen Hawkings!

Thus proving that the Great MILITARY VICTORY of The Wall, is all that stands between US and the HORRORS of Socialism!

See How WRONG you feel now! You social ingrate!
