ACHTUNG!

Now that it's won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film, Spirited Away is being re-released in theaters. So if you missed it the first time around, you can see it now. Well, maybe not now, but tomorrow. And if you've already seen it, see it again and drag with you someone who hasn't.

Was it released dubbed or subtitled?

I can't bloody stand dubbing. Mononoke Hime's dubbing irritated the bejeezus out of me.

It's possible there's a subbed version, but more likely it's dubbed. However, the dubbing is really good, just a notch below Cowboy Bebop's.

Agreed on the dubbing; it is quite good.

More importantly, though, this film has a *lot* of animated loveliness and detail across the entire screen, some of it plot-critical. Subtitles would interfere in a bad way here.
