how to turn your toddler into techno

The first 40 seconds are disorienting, like listening to a musician warm up.  Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] schwa242.

This makes me nostalgic for Art of Noise.

Specifically, THIS:

This and much more as at a terrifying name but quite the treasure trove. (http://80smusicvids.com/) Weirdly they only have one video per artist.

Except for

XTC. Weird. I was confused by Yazz, thinking it was Yaz (Yazoo's original name) until I played a few seconds of it. [The] Killing Joke is listed twice, but for the same song. And of course there's Bauhaus/Love and Rockets (but no Tones on Tail?), Joy Division/New Order, Split Enz/Must Be Crowded House, Captain Sensible/Damned, Lene Lovich/Nina Hagen--oh, wait, they eventually did that WWF duet to prove they were separate people, didn't they?

Tenzin and Charlotte both approve. Tenzin heard it from the other room and came in to dance and watch.

BWAH?!

Just imagine

if Berio had home movies of Cathy's childhood to play with. That would give a whole new dimension to "Visage." Hmmm, actually, the part near the opening where this girl moves in to the camera fits perfectly with "pa . . . ro . . . le . . . ," doesn't it?

I had to look up just what the hell you were talking about.

Thanks. That's the best music I've heard all day. Of course, it's the only music so far.
