It's a little difficult to track down errors in your application when, given three integration servers and four QA servers, no two servers have the same Java and Oracle memory settings.

Although not quite the same technologies, it absolutely pains me when I find the same in our systems - I try really hard to not do things like that - but it sometimes seems that one or two of my colleagues are a little less interested in keeping things that should be the same exactly the same. :-/

discussion i had with the "QA" people two weekends ago:

qa: but the test and training system are set up the same!
me: so why are the paths different?
