screaming in blue

Midnight Oil broke up. I missed them in SF during their last tour, which turned out to be their last tour. I am very, very cross.

And yet, the rest of the non-hearing-impaired world rejoices.

I thought they broke up 15 years ago and were just L-Ron'ing since then.

I know you're stuck in the `80s, pal... no need to remind me.

Good fecking riddance. They should have broken up after 10-1. After "Dead Heart" at the very latest.

What would you know about them, anyway? It's not like you're Australian or nuthin'.

Dude. These guys can't rock any more. They're old.

You wouldn't know rock if someone threw you into an industrial clothes dryer and set it on "crisp".

are Hunters & Collectors still going? And will anybody ever give me their last 5 or 6 albums that never made it to the US?

I have been resigned to never getting to hear most of my favorite music live ever since that time I didn't go see XTC open for The Police. Anymore, most of what I like I find in the dollar bin long after the bands are defunct. So instead I shell out hundreds of dollars when Steve Howe and Chris Squire finally kiss and make up, and when Peter Gabriel finally comes out with another album of songs after seven years of promised release dates.

No they aren't, but try Chaos Music. Mostly quite cheap - you will pay more for shipping to the US but less 'cos you're not up for GST.
