Amazon finally decided to ship an item i'd "pre-ordered" which has been in stores since July 31.  Note the estimated time of delivery. Thanks, Amazon!

God. They still haven't fixed that?

This was an issue in 1998, when I left their CS department. The reasons for it are long and boring and annoying, which is probably why the problem's still around.
