Quiet now, and take your pretty pills.

It's better than the Nokia default tone, that's for sure.

Even if it was christmas, it would still be bad. Why can't people have phones that sound like phones, rather than some 8-bit era monophonic attempt to render "tunes".

And more to the point, why is it that they always leave it ringing as long as possible, just so you have to hear all of a phrase in the annoying FM beeping.

A regular phone ring would blend into the background on my phone. But I don't have a -song- as my default ring. People who do need to be publicly mocked

I recently heard a lush wave-file ringtone ... a rendering of a common polyphonic ringtone. So people feel at home, you know.

Actually, one of `em was one of those fully synthesized rings, not just modulated beeping.

The train has a "put your phone on 'vibrate'" policy, but they can't police everyone. Feh.

Store I was in yesterday had a Christmas display rubbing shoulders with the larger Halloween display and a few forlorn cutout turkey-with-pilgrim-hat posters.

Yeah, and what about Halloween carols? I mean, think of the CHILDREN!
