soccer report

Crossfire lost 8-5 to Habana Cuba on Monday night.  We played quite well overall; i had a very good game in the goal, but i had a really poor game distributing the ball, often passing it right at an opponent.  We started the game with no subs, gaining a few as the game went on.

pink bruise-like thing on my right forehead-temple interface

I saw this one coming as i dropped to secure a ball, but how do you brace yourself to get kicked in the head?  My shoulder took most of the impact, fortunately.

Everyone seems to be trying to one-up me with head wounds!

I'm considering getting some headgear like Petr Cech.

Disappointing lack of blood! Seriously, I hope you weren't concussed.

(Rarely has this user icon been so appropriate; it was the result of a soccer game)

Look on the bright side. Maybe it knocked some sense into you.

You don't. That's how muscles and tendons get pulled and torn. Roll with it and it'll hurt less and do less damage.

Trust me on this...getting kicked in the head is one of those things I have done, and do to others quite regularly.

Owww! I guess letting your shoulder absorb the impact is the only thing you can do.
