to try for your mom

Kim came home from her pottery workshop.  She said that the guy who was going to talk about raku fell ill, so they shipped in a replacement, except he wasn't a raku expert.

"So what was his specialty?" i asked.

"Golems," she replied.  She said she actually shaped a tiny golem, about a foot tall.  I pointed out that it was completely impractical, because the chem would have to be written on a grain of rice.

"Guess who's running the workshop tomorrow," she replied with a grin.

Wasn't that exactly what they did in Ted Chiang's "Seventy-Two Letters," before they went even further and started encoding them in chromosomes?
