Via dr_memory, here's a chart that shows the six largest media companies worldwide, with some detail regarding what each owns. I fully expect one of these outfits to absorb Clear Channel sometime before 2005.

The Nation published a similar chart about seven years ago with the various companies -- more of them then -- laid out like an octopus.
