phonecam droppings

I recently obtained a Nokia 6102.  Now, whenever i have the urge to take a bad photograph, i can do so!

sinchai at hunan taste
Sinchai, the man in charge of Hunan Taste, our favorite restaurant.  Eat here now, for values of "here" that equal "4th St & Younger Av, San Jose", and for values of "now" that do not equal "today", because they're closed on Sundays.
FREEDOM OR TERRORISM?

CATERING ALL OCCACIONES
Seen while taking walkies with [livejournal.com profile] sambushell and Juls.  There are no words except, "¿Qué coño?"
thick spear of purple asparagus
Taken today at our community garden plot.  The crappy perspective doens't do a good job of illuminating the thickness of the asparagus.  The first spears we got were even thicker than that.

two ladybugs attempting to make more ladybugs to consume the aphid invasion of the favas
Two ladybugs doing the Humpty Dance.  My phonecam detected the prurient nature of the photograph and blurred the subject to protect generations of ladybug children.

Kim models a bowl of her fantastic black bean venison chili, which is now, sadly, all gone.

I look forward to regaling you with more obstreperous images of my world.

Posting Photos on LJ

Do you have a premium account on LJ? I'm such an inveterate cheapass that I haven't plunked down for anything beyond the free version (ironic, since I make my living online). Can you post all of those photos without restraints? I'd love to post a few more pics, but hate the process of downsizing them to virtual postage stamp size.

Nice ladybug pic, by the way...

I do have a paid account, but i'm hosting the photos on my home server (a torn-apart Dell PoS that sits in the hallway closet). The camera takes 640x480 pictures, which is a good size, even if the quality is certainly wanting.

The best part of taking phonecam pictures is that you really can't tell if something's blurry because the display is so damn small.

Actually, that is pretty decent quality for a phone camera. I know that colours are nowhere near as vivid on my 6600.

Oh, and the amazing secondary use for that camera in your phone? Looking at the end of fibre to see if there's any light coming out without subjecting your eyeballs to an unknown quantity. CCD is sensitive to IR as well, for added bonus.

Consider [livejournal.com profile] picturbation.

The commentary makes up for the quality, which, btw, isn't so bad when one has photos of the kitchen floor corner in their own portfolio. I'm intrigued by your community garden. Mm, asparagus!
