not helping

I watched the MLS Cup today.  It was terrible.  Sloppy play, cheap shots, mental mistakes, and tired players towards the end.  At least the ref was consistent (10 yellow cards — TEN!).  When you think that this is one of soccer's two yearly network TV showcases in this country (the All-Star game is the other), it's really a shame that the game couldn't've been more entertaining.

MLS is da sux0r

You weren't the only one saying that. I actually caught the second half and overtime. Ugh, you're right...complete slop. And the yellow cards were coming so regularly (once every 7 minutes) that even the announcers noticed. The play in the Premiere League (you know, Chelsea, Man U, Tottenham) is about 5x better...the difference between watching the NFL and say...Jr. Varsity.
