because i love this woman's music

Check out some of Kristin Hersh's music, solo, 50 Foot Wave, and Throwing Muses' final album.  This is the good stuff, dammit.

Whaddya mean FINAL album?

When the hell did they break up? Who told them they could break up?

Were you ever in Chicago? If so, do you miss WXRT the way I do?

They actually broke up back in `97, after Limbo. Then they got back together, put out their last album, and went on a whirlwind reunion tour (and i caught them (http://ronebofh.livejournal.com/61679.html) and they kicked ASS).

50 Foot Wave, man. It's not like Throwing Muses, although their last album sounds like a halfway point between TM and L'~. Also, for Muses-like goodness, Kristin's third solo album, Sky Motel. And i absolutely have to recommend Lakuna's album Castle of Crime, which was David Narcizo's solo album; it's a mix of samples and electronic music with some vocals thrown in... it's hard to describe, but it's fantastic.
