blight my fire

Goddammit, the kids really tick me off sometimes.  The axolotl tanks have gone unwashed for a whole week and we're out of fresh water and food.  After i wash them out, maybe i'll try to clone a new stepchild... one that'll actually do its chores.

Yeah, in like five years.
You've got to have SOME already-aged clones on the back burner, right? You're too practical not to.

If you isolate the sequence for "obedient", will you pass it on, please? For some reason, even my own ghola mouths off on a regular basis. You'd think she had Turet's or something.

Wouldn't just inserting the relevant genes using a retrovirus splice process work as well? Might as well give them some cool extra attributes, like polka-dot skin colour and long pointed ears while you're at it.

It's an amusing thought, but the wife would recycle my protoplasm. Again. Once was enough.

Aw, what's a little recycled protoplasm...

Okay...I didn't know what an axolotl was...

So I googled it. That is one _freaky_ looking little critter! I thought _I_ had strange pets, what with the snakes and iguana and bearded lizard, but those look like little alien beasties. Coooooool. :)

I just assumed it was an ancient Aztec god, and the tanks were for holding the blood after sacrifices.

Hmmm, if you're out of fresh water and food, you could eat the axolotls. They're supposed to be really good for the heart and circulation. That's what the little old lady in the mercado at Lake Patzquaro told me. (Try deep frying...with lots of ajo)
