What is a Plog?

The Plog™ Service is a personalized blog.

[...]

Your Amazon.com Plog is a diary of events that will enhance your shopping experience, helping you discover products that have just been released, track changes to your orders, and many other things. Just like a blog, your Plog is sorted in reverse chronological order. When we think we have something interesting or important to tell you, we'll post it to your Plog.

I can't wait for my Plog to start recommending Doc Johnson products.

And yes, the Plog is extremely annoying. I don't know why I find it so annoying. I never look at the intro page. I go straight to the Wish List or the search box. But I find the unrequested presence of the Plog unspeakably evil and annoying. I may start shopping at brick and mortar shops. I hear you can buy CDs at a trendy chain called Rasputin's. Weird, huh? heh

Oh, yeah, i only use amazon as a handy wishlist. And sometimes to purchase used books, or if someone gives me a gift certificate. For CDs, i prefer Streetlight... Rasputin's has a weird scummy vibe.
