One of my music theory profs produced a record for a band called illbeonthefönetoyou. It was as boring as it sounds.

is in lists of CCM (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=77:205~T1) artists. While there aren't all that many real clunkers in AMG's "top" list (one that stands out to me is "MxPx," which was an already crappy name "Magnified Plaid" restyled à la D.I.), you can follow chains of "similar artists" and become very sad. You'll also find intriguing claims like "Christafari is the first Christian reggae band."
