Think of all the stuff you could get done if you did nothing but work towards your goal(s) for 111 days.

I mean, you couldn't make old wine or sharp cheddar cheese, but you could pick up a couple of languages, take a crack at Linear B, climb the highest mountain *very casually,* or catch up on all the reading you ever thought you'd wanted to accomplish in your lifespan.

Motivation is important, of course, but nobody's going to give you a big prize for bugging out of the middle of the desert, so you might as well keep on running; I gotta figure out how to apply that to real life.
