I've just been sorely disappointed with the Mac experience. The ethernet problems were just great, with Apple stating that Cisco switches were not supported and suggesting I would only get support if I bought some bloody Belkin POS or some such from the Apple store. Being told that 20 minutes battery life is "perfectly normal" for an 11 month old Powerbook (threatened legal action, they immediately caved and ponied up a new one).
Still, I wish I had a video of taking the craptop into the service centre. When I opened it and the wallpaper happily announced "My real computer runs Solaris", I got a dose of abuse for "not getting it".
Hey, I just expect an $AUD3000 purchase to be solid and reliable for the first 12 months, and if something goes wrong I expect arse-kissing service. Even Dell offers better support, and their Indian call centre has a better grasp of my language.
