"He would be 67 if he ran and was elected."

I keep forgetting he's fairly young. If he ever did get elected his acceptance speech would probably be given by someone else consisting of one word, "Clear!"

That makes me feel better, because Woodward is consistently wrong on, uh, everything. Like that commercial where the guy thinks he gets French benefits at work.

Funny in a 'Ha ha, Woodward's losing it' way, or funny in a 'You know that boot that's been stomping your face for the past five years? It will continue to stomp your face for at least another seven years' way?

I'm with Woodward on this one, actually.

Dick Cheney, if he knows one true thing, knows this: if he does not run for president in 2008, will be out of power.

I just don't see him as the sort of person to ever let that happen voluntarily.

Woodward is a Pentagon mole, and has been for years.

In order to take this seriously, you have to construct an elaborate fantasy world in which George W. Bush actually gives a shit about the United States of America, and in which he and Cheney are not both massive fuckups.

That said, I would have thought that the Republicans would have been smart enough not to nominate Bush, so what do I know?

I'm terrified at the prospect of a Cheney vs. Hillary election.
